DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Family History Activity Day

I was asked to help with a Family History activity for the Activity Day girls in our ward. It was fun! I tried to keep it light and simple, and the goal was just to get them thinking about it, and for them to go take a look at www.familysearch.org. (The website is so stinking AWESOME!)

I also made a little treat that I had never tried before. I melted chocolate and made YUMMY pretzel sticks! I even found little sprinkles shaped like Fall leaves. I used pretzel sticks to remind them they are a "branch" in their family tree. I know, I know, awesome

I had them fill out a family tree, but they did not get very far . . . how far can you get?!

The girls are so cute. We shared some family history stories, and talked about how you can discover who you are by discovering who you come from.

They made their little Family History Trees to keep by the computer, to remind them that they love Family History!

Fun times!
