DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Storm Chaser

I love storms. Whenever there is a storm, I always try and chase it. Last night there was a beautiful storm, with lots of thrilling lightning and thunder. It was unexpected, and a fun and exciting addition to the evening. Is there anything cooler than quality thunder and lightning? I think not!

Sammi and I headed out to Albertsons to pick up Henry's medicine, and some Family Home Evening treats. It was nice and clear when we went in, but as soon as we left the store, the thunder clouds had gathered, and the crashing began -- it was awesome! This was the view from the parking lot . . .

We sat in the parking lot for awhile, as the rain and hail began to pound our car. Lightning was flashing all around us, and the instant thunder roared to let us know it was extremely close.

The hail was pretty good sized -- the size of large peas. It was coming down really hard as we drove home.

I quickly dropped Sammi off at home, grabbed my camera, and went to the church parking lot to try and capture some of the beauty of the sky...
It was so beautiful. It just kept changing, and the clouds and light kept moving, and creating beautiful art in the sky.

I stood outside for about 30 minutes, watching God paint the sky…

I was able to capture a few lightning bolts… pretty cool!

 The colors were glorious...

I was hoping for a rainbow, but the beauty of the sky was pretty amazing too. I get so excited about storms -- they make me feel all giddy inside. I'm glad I took the time to capture some of the beauty of it. I hope for many more awesome storms to come!

Oh, and did I mention, I love being a Mormon? Well, I do!
