DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Fun Fall Family Photo Shoot

I think Fall family pictures are beautiful. The colors are just so vibrant and wonderful. I had the pleasure of practicing taking pictures with some friends. We were all a little chilly, but it was still fun.

I particularly love taking pictures of these cute girls... they are such lovely princesses to capture, and so willing, too. I just think little girls are so precious. If I had a quality camera when Sammi was little, I would have taken pictures of her all day long! I am glad I can at least practice with some beautiful girls.

One fun thing that happened -- while I was taking pictures -- was I fell flat on my face. I was walking along the river, while looking at my camera, and I tripped over a large piece of wood. It was embarrassing, but I managed not to damage myself, or my camera! Somehow, miraculously -- it did not hurt. It was like someone softened the blow. My life did flash before my eyes though. Falling is such a weird thing. It makes you feel very mortal. (And stupid!)

I believe in family pictures. I am so grateful I had ours taken when we did, so now I have a big beautiful picture of our whole family on our living room wall -- it is priceless to me. I have one above my bed, too.

If you have not had a family picture in awhile, go find a photographer and make it happen! It is so worth it! Trust me! Pictures are everything to me now. Fall is a great time for pictures, but anytime of year works... though it will require bundling up now! BRRrrrrr!

So, on to the good stuff... this family is so stinking cute! Love them!

  2. Good job!
You're right, pictures are important!! I have a love hate with digital since most of us (or maybe just me) don't print our pictures anymore. I love the ease of digital, but I miss holding the photo/photo album in my hands! :)

  3. Beautiful photos! You're an excellent photographer! And how cute - the bigger girl is an exact replica of dad and the littler girl looks exactly like mom! Heehee, I love it!
