DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Boy Scouts

Last night we had a gathering with the Boy Scouts -- a back to school party. My house smelled like . . . boys. They had a great time playing Just Dance, and it was pretty entertaining to watch, I must say.

Charles was called awhile back, to be the Scout Master in our ward. He is in Heaven. He was the Young Men's President in the Liberty ward before we moved, and he REALLY did not want to leave his boys. Being called to Scouts in our new ward has helped soften the pain of leaving, a little.

For him it is the best calling, ever. I am happy for him because it means he gets in his camping and outdoorsy-stuff -- and I don't have to go! Yeah!

Here's to many future activities and campouts . . . and a plethora of merit badges. :-)

Hooray for Scouting!

 Think Sammi is enjoying herself?
Some of those boys are just one year older than her! Yikes!
I might as well get used to this scene of boys everywhere. I do have 3 of them . . . and they will have teenage friends one day.
Oh boy!
They boys were SO competitive and serious when it was their turn
See that boy to the far right (he was the master-blaster dancer) he looks like Jacob from Twilight . . . his name is (weirdly enough) . . . Jacob.
The leaders had their turn at it.
Good times.
This is the second time they have been to our house in the last few weeks . . . glad we have the space for them! They are such good boys. I declare there is hope for the future!
