DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Day-to-Day

I try to whip out my phone for pictures. It is really such a blessing to have the capacity to capture life, on such a nifty device. My phone is about 4 iPhone updates behind, and so the camera is not as clear as the latest and greatest, but it does the job of capturing the moment well enough.

Here are some random life shots...

Autumn in Idaho is really quite beautiful.
We love to go for walks as a family and enjoy the season.

Crunching through the leaves is the best

I have been brave about trying to fix many things in the house myself, but when it comes to plumbing, I lose my confidence. Thank goodness for good friends who come to the rescue. Here is Tyson teaching Henry all about the inner workings of the toilet. Henry wanted to be right by him during the whole thing. He was his "helper."
This was the day we took Ross back. It was hard, but has been a good thing.
Henry passed out on the couch... sometimes I feel the same way.
We had a Family night where we each had to take 3 minutes and stare into each others eyes, and then say something nice. It was meant to help us connect, and really "see" each other. It was quite the experience, and harder then you would think to look into someones eyes for that long -- and there could be no laughing, it was meant to be serious. When William sat in front of me, staring into my eyes, he just started to cry. He could not even handle it. He said it was the light in his eyes making him cry, but I knew better. Have you ever stared into your mother's eyes for a solid 3 minutes? Looking into my children's eyes really helped me to see how unique they each are, and how precious.

Tis the season for baking... and baking some more.
We had some gingerbread cookies from Disneyland that we never made (the dry ingredients) and the kiddos thought it would be fun to make them.
No, it is not Christmas, yet. Those are my Halloween trees, that I love so much!
 Another sleepy-head moment.
 A pretty after-school view.
 It was raining rainbows
These trees are amazing. I love driving down the street to see the Autumn glory.
These really awesome clouds caught my attention
We have switched from running to more strength-training, like TaeBo. I am just tried of running, and my body is not loving it as much. I feel like I need to gain some strength, and so that is my current goal. My two oldest workout with me in the evenings, it is way more fun to do together.
The seasons are changing, there will be snow before we know it!
I love this house, it is like something out of a movie. I just want to knock on the door and ask if I can go in and look around.
We went on a little Halloween walk, looking for decorations. My children get pretty excited about seeing decorated houses.

There is one house that goes all out creepy... this year there is a motion-sensor box that is totally scary.

There was a child in the pile of leaves
I wish I had my real camera, but oh well.
 Pumpkins! Love them!
William loves to build LEGOs. He is always creating something new. He made the Star Trek ship.
We carved our pumpkins last night.
A thunderstorm rolled in right as we began, and we got to say, "It was a dark and stormy night..."
I made a pumpkin for Henry. He said it was just like him, and wanted a picture.

 Pumpkin guts.
More to come...
