DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Just Life

I really need to get with it and start taking more pictures of life. There are always lots of things going on, and I am really slacking on keeping track of the normal life stuff.

Here are some pictures from my phone... totally random.

Here is a family home evening night making cards for a friend.

Henry loves to sit and read with me, or just look at books. He will put a book in my hand and say, "Talk to it, Mommy, talk to it!" Sometimes he will bring me the scriptures and say, "Talk to Jesus, mommy."
A few weeks ago I ran a long run of 13.1 miles. It was interesting... and raining at the end. But I did it, and will just continue with longer runs as I get stronger. I have a plan to run my 20 miler on April 1st. That is how I will celebrate the 2 year mark of Charles hanging out in heaven.
Here is William doing FaceTime with his cousin. They are pretty funny together.
My sister and I did FaceTime and tried to plan our upcoming marathon. There is a lot to think about and pull together for it. When it comes down to it, we just run. But we need to have the right items to prepare for battle, so that the journey can be as enjoyable (ha!) as possible. Kary is pretty dang cute for an almost 50 year old. She doesn't look a day over 29. :)
Just a random dinner time.
I was out running when I saw this heart cloud. I knew it was just for me.
The kids like to gather on my bed to chat. There is something about mama's bed that is so comfy and relaxing.
Henry often finds his way into my bed. He likes me to rub his head, and even hold his hand. I love how the sun comes in my bedroom window during the morning and afternoon.
We took a trip to Dairy Queen with some friends... Henry was happy about it.
Just keeping busy while waiting for ice-cream.
William doing his homework. It sure seems like he has a lot more than the other kids had, when they were in elementary school. It is interesting because one of his weekly assignments is about finding information on the Internet about different places and people in Idaho history. The way he has to search reminds me of how you search for Family History, it is kind of cool.
This picture is from back before we moved from our little house. We worked on a few furniture pieces to get ready for our new home. A friend was going to give this desk away, but I thought it would be perfect for Sammi's room. We painted it white (it was grey) added some new knobs and made it really cute. She was so happy to have a desk, and a whole room! She had been living in my walk in closet for quite some time, and though it was awesome, having her own room is pretty sweet.
I also took some time during the moving process to refinish my Grandma's table. This is a table that was in her kitchen for forever. It needed some love.
I sanded it down, and then went to work on making it more beautiful.
It turned out great, and it made me so happy to make something old into something new.
Here is Sammi's finished desk... I found an old chair we had and reupholstered the seat with material she picked out.
Just a random picture of Henry sitting in the sun in our new family room.
A random picture of the kitchen back in the Fall. I love that it is so bright and cheery.

We have some pretty good climbing trees in our yard. I am excited to see them in the Spring and Summer. We moved in right when the leaves were falling off.
There is also a lovely hammock, I am excited to relax in it as it gets warmer outside.
We had a bunch of awesome guys help with our move in. It was such a huge blessing to have such great help! I am very blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people.
We were especially excited when the missionaries came to help, there was a BYU football player, and a Samoan, and together they lifted some crazy heavy things. It was fantastic.
Here is an old picture of Sammi's room, she has since changed it around. But she loves it!
This is a random picture of our living room, it has also changed a little since then. I love having a room that is usually pretty clean, while the family room is the playroom that is usually covered in toys.

Here is a picture of Daniel at a choir concert. He is loving it. I love that my kiddos love to sing. Both he and Sammi are crazy about singing and performing. William is not sure about music yet, though he will join in if they are just messing around singing at home. Henry is still figuring it out, but he has time.
Daniel has now surpassed Charles in height. We took out Charles' clothes and Daniel went through and has started wearing what he likes. It is kind of crazy for me seeing him in Charles' clothes, especially since he is built so much like his dad.
The kids have had lots of fun with choir and band concerts.
That is all for now... I need to take more pictures, I really do.
