DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Sunday Night Singing

We like to sing on Sunday night. Tonight it was just me and Sammi, everyone else was a little too restless. I love to sing, but Sammi LOVES to sing. She has music in her soul, deep, deep, down. She says that is what makes her so happy; she always has a song in her heart. I am so excited to see where her music, and her heart, will take her.

I have this dream of taking her to New York one day, to see Les Miserables. Her favorite singer, Ramin Karimloo, is playing Val Jean. We were watching Les Mis the other day, and she was literally melting when she listened to his voice. (He plays Enjolras in the 25th Anniversary movie.)
For a beautiful video of Ramin click: HERE. (Sammi highly recommends you click on it.)

Here she is getting ready to melt...
Music is the way to Sammi's heart, for sure. It is so fun to have a daughter who loves to sing, and loves to share her voice. It warms my mother heart. I know some people think we are crazy for singing and making videos, but it is how we were raised, so it is totally normal for us. :)

Enjoy some of our Sunday night singing.

  2. He seriously is the best male singer I have heard. Not only does the inflection and tonal clarity of his voice draw you in, but he also moves to the music, and shows emotion in his facial expressions. He is not just singing, he is telling a story. When I was introduced to him, he was the Phantom of the Opera, and I didn't see I'm, I heard him. I just kept listening to him and analyzing his techniques and styles, and he has only become more impressive. Ramin Karimloo is pretty amazing. He inspires me to keep singing.
