DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Smell The Scent of Summer on Their Skin

I found an old email from Charles. It was a response to an email I wrote him about 5 years ago. I was concerned about many things, so much in life was up-in-the-air at the time, and I was expressing my worries to him, and seeking his advice.

This was his response to my concerns...

I love you, Mari. Things are going to be great. We are going to be just fine.

Stay calm.

Read your Scriptures.

Hold the children.

Smell the scent of summer on their skin.

Take a moment and make them laugh.

Watch the clouds.

Take a moment in the afternoon and say a prayer.

Open your heart.

We are in good hands and the Lord loves us. He will take care of us and show us the way we are to go. It has been a miracle up to this point, and I don't see this changing anytime soon for us.
