Why I am a Super Mom (According to William)
William made me a special Mother's day surprise at school. He constructed a book, just for me. He had to describe all the reasons why he thinks I am a really super mom. It was so sweet, and per William's style -- he made me giggle, a lot. I am not claiming to be a super mom, I am just claiming that William thinks I am, and so that is good enough for me.
If I were to give advice about Motherhood (I know everyone loves advice), it would be very short and simple. It would be the advice my grandma gave to me about motherhood:
Love them.
Being a mother is not always easy, that is for sure. There are no manuals. Sure, there are loads of books about how to raise your children; but each child is so unique, and requires such individual attention. So really, you learn as you go, and you never stop learning, no matter how old they are. The super hero gig of motherhood never ends... and that is a beautiful thing.
Our children and families are meant to teach us how to truly love. So, sometimes when things get crazy, and I feel like I am not as "super" as I wish I could be, I just remind myself to keep the big picture in mind. I remind myself that motherhood, and having a mother-heart, is all about love.
I never knew I could love so much, but my love just keeps growing and growing for my sweet and silly children. I will love them forever.
So let's take a look at William's work...
Fact #1: She is funny
Fact #2: She is cool
Fact #3: She likes to sleep
Fact #4: She likes to run
My mom's super powers are: taking care of Henry
My mom's super car is: a convertible
My mom's super costume is: a running suit
I love it when: she lets me go to the store with her
My mom is a super hero because: she takes care of me
My mom is faster than: a train
My mom cooks the best: food
My mom saves me when: she takes care of Henry
My mom is a super hero and she is the best mom in the world and the universe
Apparently, according to William, I am not just awesome, I am super awesome. I am unusually brave, perfect, extra nice, and either I am rad, or a rat. ;)
