DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Sunday Night Snapshots

The light was beautiful last night. I wrangled up the kiddos, and off we went to the river. We enjoyed some rock throwing, and picture time. I gave Sam and Dan a few pointers, and they helped with the picture-taking. It was just a gorgeous night, the weather was perfect. The river is one of my favorite places to go and take in nature. I am so grateful it is close!

Here are some pictures from our evening...

Mother-daughter conversation. We have been having a lot of these lately, mostly about boys, and the fact that I know karate.
This girl is precious to me.
Her braces are going well. Her smile has always been sweet, and the braces just make it sweeter.
Dan the man, sporting his Dad's shirt. He is now taller than Charles. He is pretty excited about that.
 He is our tough-guy.
I really love my children. They are such a fun bunch of people to be around.

Sam and Dan are really great friends, they look out for each other at school.
 Henry's face cracks me up...
He just wanted to be free to play in the dirt...
He lasted for a little while
I even got him to crack a smile!

Me and my boys. Each one is unique, and made special just for me to love and learn from.
 Jumping for joy!
Henry could not quite figure it out...
Cling to courage... yep, good advice.
 Seriously? This face...

This is what Henry did most of the night. He just loves dirt. It was a real pleasure trying to get the dirt out of his hair.
 The girls
 Henry shaking it off...
Here is Daniel reminding the boys not to mess with Sammi
Daniel is her protector. Sometimes I pull him aside and ask him to be my "eyes and ears" at school.

These two are so funny together. They sing all the time. When they are not singing, they are talking about singing, and anything to do with the school choir.
Yes, they love each other so...
This boy of mine is more like a man. He just turned 13 last week.

These kiddos have been buddies for a long time...

William was much more interested in playing, but he paused for a moment, so I could capture his cute face.
He is 9... but he does his best to keep up with the older two. Sometimes he outwits us all.
Daniel proving his strength
A mother-moment with William. I was encouraging him to "smile."

 The light was so pretty
 Just chillin with William

Daniel is a Captain America fan... just so you know.

It is a strange moment when your children grow taller than you... they are all growing so fast.
Time keeps on slipping into the future...

  5. Awesome! There was one picture with you and the boys that it looks like you have your hand all the way around Henry's neck. I had to double check, it was William's hand. Lol. You guys are all so beautiful! Happy birthday to those three boys this past week. I meant to send birthday greetings. Love you all!
