DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Better Late Than Never... A Halloween Post

We had a fun Halloween. With the move, and not having the Internet, I am still trying to catch up. That is why I am talking about pumpkins in December. But really, can you believe how fast time has gone? It seems like Halloween was just yesterday! I am in such a time warp. So much has happened in the last few months, no wonder I am feeling rather exhausted now.

We moved into our house, and Halloween was the following week. The kids pulled together their costumes, and at the last minute I decided to join them in the festivities. Sammi and Daniel decided to do Tangled, and they wanted me to be Mother Gothel. So, last minute, Sammi and I ran to the store, found a cheap costume, and grabbed the last bottle of black hairspray. William was a Jedi, and Henry, well, we just made do with him... he did not want to wear a costume, so we had to be creative.

We went to the ward Trunk-or-Treat, and the following evening we went trick-or-treating in our favorite neighborhood. We had a good time.

Here are some pictures...

Carving pumpkins is always fun

These two are so funny together
William, the Jedi. Speaking of, I hear there is a good movie coming out soon... I'm pretty excited about that.
 Sammi decked out the trunk...

Henry was sleeping most of the time, but he woke up at the end of trunk or treat
They only had one can of black hairspray left at the store... not quite enough for my massive amount of hair.
The kids were just so excited that I joined them in the fun.
I texted my sister this picture, and she freaked out and thought I had dyed my hair. I am not that daring.
 Trick or treating
The candy haul... it looks kind of gross to me now.
That's enough Halloween... it was fun.

I prefer Christmas. :)
