DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

To The People Who Egged My House

You should have waited. I was out of town when you splattered my house with eggs. If you would have waited until I was home, you could have knocked on my door, and brought the eggs inside. I would have cooked you up a nice omelet, or baked you some fresh chocolate chip cookies -- I make really yummy cookies.

But you were too hasty, and you decided to smear the eggs all over my house instead.

I could have created for you something beautiful, and delicious; rather than the frozen yokes and shells that I had to scrape off my house by hand, while shivering in the bitter winter cold.

There was simply no need to waste such perfectly good eggs on my windows, roof, and patio furniture.

You should have waited.

Please, the next time you are trying to find the correct purpose for a dozen eggs, come to me, and I will show you.

Truly, I have so many great recipes.

Yours,

Mari

P.S. You have a really good arm, and great aim. Have you ever considered baseball?

  1. Oh. My. Gosh! I am SO sorry this happened and you are left to clean it up! You sure have a good attitude about it! I'm disgusted and horrified for you! I wish I lived somewhere near you and could come help clean up the mess so you don't have to do it alone. I know in the grand scheme of things and the loss you have experienced, this is a small thing, but it is still outrageously moronic, unfair and just plain wrong. So, so sorry!!!!

  2. And, PS, you are indeed COURAGEOUS for taking the higher, kinder road on this one...you are a good example. I hope my annoyance has not taken away from your positive vibe here. That's the LAST thing I'd want to do. You deserve all the peace and happiness you can capture. You do a great job at it!
