DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

A Musical Video Tribute for Charles

This video was a labor of love! I had to go through all the home videos we had on the camcorder -- videos that were mostly of the children -- but I happened to catch Charles in them, too. Add to the list of things to do for history's sake -- record video! And don't forget to turn the camera on to you, too, moms! I am so grateful for the video of Charles, it is priceless to me!

I love this man. Charles is the best. It makes me so happy just to see his face, hear his voice, and giggle along with his awesome laugh. He continues to raise us up. We all stand on his shoulders. I am super-excited to see him again. He is awesome.

Thanks for the memories, Charles!

  1. Geesh, I guess I needed a good cry today. That video was awesome. What a treasure to have those memories documented like that. I especially loved the Jedi performance. You'll have to tell me the story behind that.:)

  5. We love you too Charles!
All I could do was smile! (and shed a few tears...especially when he was w/ Nan and hanging out w/ Sammi in the cardboard playhouse.) He is such a joy to be around. I loved hearing his laugh and seeing his love for your little ones. Too precious!
Way to capture it on video Mari.
I think it's so great you are able to document his life and get pictures, videos and journals all organized for the van Ormer posterity. Just awesome! You have a
    family history talent for sure.

May the force continue to be w/ you!

    love
    Kary
