DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

The Baby Owls at the Church

There were baby owls in the church parking lot tree. It was pretty amazing! A bunch of children were gathered around the tree, showing the grown-ups what all the hoopla was about. I was not expecting to be impressed, but seeing so many owls -- baby owls -- in one spot, was really something! I did not even have my phone camera, so I ran home really quick and pulled out my real camera, so I could capture them a little more clearly.

I discovered that my camera was covered in some sort of gunk, and so after cleaning it off a bit, I was able to grab some pictures. My camera has never been the same since Trek last year, there is still dirt crusted into deep places. I need to get this fixed, because I would like to start practicing with again, but it is frustrating when it is not as responsive as I want it to be. It worked well enough to grab some cute shots of the owls. Seriously, these guys were so adorable!

Funny thing is I told Sammi that I wanted to pull out my camera today, and start using it again. Well, an opportunity was provided... and baby owls were just the thing to make me smile on this Sabbath day!
