DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

The Circle of Life

I have been spending my rainy day playing on the family search website. The new tools are SO COOL!

Check out the family tree below… The circle in the middle is my great x 4 grandma, Mary Murray Murdoch (Wee Granny). For her story go: HERE. Just look at ALL of her descendants, and my cousins! Wow! If you don't think that one person can make a difference, than take a look at all those people that exist because of HER! Consider that we are truly the queens/kings of generations! It is so exciting and wonderful to think of! It makes my heart speed up, and my mind swirl with joy!

Wee Granny is known for saying, "Tell John I died with my face towards Zion."
This chart is so cool on the website. You scroll over the dots and it has all the names and info -- it is so cool to see who my cousins are! You can see some are missing and need to be found! There is always work to be done1

This is me, and my four children. One day I hope the growth of my posterity will look like my Wee Granny's! When I think of the sacrifice she made for her faith in God, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it is very clear that it was worth it. Her faith is my faith! It is an honor to be her granddaughter. I can't wait to see her in heaven, give her a big hug, and say THANK YOU!

Go check out the website! Do it!  It is AWESOME!!!!!

  2. I played around with that for a while...MINDBOGGLING!! Maybe spending so much time in the temple influences my thinking, but all of these connections are really starting to mean something beyond pretty pictures on the page. Real people, real lives, real family. What a wonderful feeling.
