DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Hallelujah

There are no words. This is all I have to offer for now…God lives. I know it.

An old video, but it felt appropriate...

Together Forever…

  15. I never hear that song without thinking of you guys. Just today as I was driving around I was thinking about Charles and how he loved that song and played it on the guitar for us one of those late nights at our house. It's a good memory. :) You never cease to amaze me with your testimony and steadfast faith...like your pioneer ancestors no doubt. We love you and your family so much Mari! You know that your family has a special place in the hearts of the Harlin's.

  16. May the good and comfort in this world lift you and your children up while you navigate your way through this difficult time. I am so sorry to hear Charles has crossed the veil early in life. My thoughts are with you and yours and I hope you feel the embrace from all who surround you but especially through Christ's loving and warm embrace. May God bless you and yours.

  19. You're right...words don't feel fully adequate to express feelings like that. I'm glad that you and your children have each other (and other family members and friends) to wrap your arms around and to cry with. Why can't people cry enough tears to bring immediate, deep relief that is strong enough for that kind of hurt? I believe in the Plan of Happiness, and in "forever families," and in Christ's power to heal because of the atonement. I believe that your sweet family will find strength and be comforted through this painful experience, but for now that loss still seems so unexpected and wrong! The angel of death may not have spared your home this time in the physical sense, but I pray that you will be blessed all the more with watchful care and heavenly protection, that your home may be a safe haven from the threat of spiritual death in this Egypt-of-a-world. Keep on running until you make it back home for that happy reunion!
