DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

When Kids Take Over Your Blog...

Our mom, Mari, is the best mother in the world. She has taught us many life lessons that we are sure will benefit us in the future, someday. She also likes to have fun with us, which has made our lives very good. She has instilled a love of learning and a passion of new things into our hearts and minds. Music fills our home, and love can always be felt. She has taught us so many valuable skills and helped shape us into the people that we are today. If it weren’t for her influence in our lives, we wouldn’t be here.

Since writing everything would require us to sit and write for days and years, we decided that making a list would summarize and show some of the things that we admire and enjoy about having her as our mother. We wouldn’t be here without her. This is for you mom!  :)

THINGS WE LOVE LOVE ABOUT OUR MOM:
  • she takes us to go on runs and walks by the river
  • her testimony is remarkable and strong
  • I love her passion and knack for taking photos. She can make everyday items have a story and hidden beauty
  • when you need a boost of validation, she is willing to give it to you
  • service is important to her
  • super-powerful quotes are a must
  • though we live through hard things, she is happy and smiling just at being alive

  • Four words: LORD OF THE RINGS
  • you say mom, we say amazing!
  • even if they aren't her favorite, she will watch MARVEL movies with us
  • music flows through her soul
  • when we need advice or guidance about something that we are doing, she will always give us great words to think about and take heed in
  • courage and kindness are her middle names
  • she lets us participate in extracurricular activities, such as sports, band, and choir
  • a house has to be a home, and things are kept clean and pretty, except the boy’s room, Henry’s domain...
  • family history gets her very excited
  • We just love her
  • our mom is a master at reverse-psychology… and using Jedi mind tricks...these are not the droids you are looking for...
  • we timed her and her fastest diaper change is 7 seconds
  • she goes out of the way to make sure that we are comfortable and feel safe
  • our momma is very physically strong
  • if you mess with us, she will mess with you
  • in the early morning, afternoon, and evening, she is a professional taxi driver for us
  • she is just plain fun to be around
  • she has a great imagination
  • our mom makes sure that we have great food to eat, except for Borscht
  • life is good, a spoonful of sugar…(this is where the whole quotes thing comes to play)
  • she is a fantastic blocks builder according to the boys in our house
  • when I was Rapunzel in the Music of the Mouse concert, my mommy made sure that I not only had the voice and actions down, but had the look of Rapunzel
  • our mom takes us to Disneyland!!
  • she is active
  • she is beautiful
  • her positive attitude can light up the room
  • SHE IS THE BEST MOTHER IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!

  4. What a list! How awesome! You must feel fantastic w/ such truth written by Sammi (w/ the help of Dan, Will and Henry.)
Made me smile. Especially, the Jedi mind tricks. You are a marvelous Mom. Your children are so abundantly blessed to have a 'rock' like you.
Keep the courage! Look at what your children think of you if you're ever having a down day. Let their words lift you up.
Thank you for your testimony of motherhood. It is powerful. You are powerful.

    hugs,

    Kary
