DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Angels Among Us

The time for Pioneer courage is not over. It is now! We all have our "handcarts" that we need to pull, and trials we must pass through -- to test our faith. That is why we are here, to see if we will be true -- in all circumstances -- to the God who gave us life.

As for me, I know I do not travel through my trials -- or pull my handcart -- alone. Back when the Pioneers faced dire circumstances, the Angels came to help, and assist them. There were times when it was not physically possible for them to carry on -- but they would, with Heavenly hands helping them.

I know what that feels like.

I may be positioned at the front and center of my family's handcart (like the picture above), but Charles still pulls beside me, and Jesus is always there to make my burden lighter.

I am never, ever, left alone.

And neither are you!

There are angels among us, and a Savior who loves us.

I know it!

Happy Pioneer Day!

  2. What an experience for you and Charles to be a Ma and Pa on that trek a few years ago. I remember you mentioned to me about the 'women's pull'…where you had to pull the handcarts uphill without the men's assistance….yet, they were standing up with their hats over their hearts watching over you. To think that Charles continues to watch over you as you keep pulling your handcart uphill is amazing. Yes! You have been prepared for this journey. Yes! You are a pioneer woman with super strength. I'm so grateful you know and feel that you are never, ever alone. Hooray for Angels that keep us all pushing forward. Keep pushing and pulling Mari.
    Love ya,

    Kary
