DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Random Pictures from Alaska

I took thousands of pictures in Alaska. There is no way I can put all of them on my blog. I could probably write a whole blog post about each and every picture, but that would take forever. So every now and again, I think I will just post a bunch of them at a time.

These are totally random… but that is about all I have to offer right now.

Did you know a blog can take hours and hours of time to put together? Yeah, it can be hard work! I actually have a ton of things I want to write about, but sometimes the days run out of time to write, and edit images. I do try to write often though… I know I love it when other people update their blogs regularly. (Hint, hint!)

Sammi and I were just looking over old blog posts last night together, and we had fun remembering all the good times we have had as a family. Now my blog record of our family is priceless to us. With the click of a button daddy becomes alive again through pictures, stories, and even video. I am so grateful I have felt so prompted to write and record life! Blogs are such a great blessing.

I also purchased myself a real journal, so I can write my unfiltered feelings down too -- it really helps. Some things (emotions/thoughts) are best left out of the open, but still need a place to go -- a journal is a great tool for that. I find it very helpful! Blogs are fantastic, but a handwritten journal is something special. And really, I have thoughts and feelings that NO ONE besides myself, and Heavenly Father, need to know about! I may expose my heart a little here on my blog, but my journal is pure, raw, handwritten emotion.

For me, releasing through writing is the best therapy… it helps me to unleash the pressure from the deep caverns in my brain. Writing is to my brain, what running is to my body. When I complete a blog or journal entry, I feel free.

Anyway… on to the pictures!

These are the Lindquist sisters: Beth, Mari, Kary.

This is Sage, Kary and Ray's dog. She is an amazing dog -- so good, mellow, and obedient. (Well trained!)

That is all for now. More posts and pictures to come later. In the meantime…

Thank you for capturing the magical moments life has to offer. I have a little sign by my sink that says: "Happiness is in the journey...Treasure the moments." This is exactly how I feel about viewing your photos. You reveal happiness in the pictures you take.
We sure did 'treasure' our time with you and your family.

I absolutely love the shot of Stephen and William together. McKinley and Sammi too! And, of course McKinley w cozy Grandma...and, Daniel in the bubble. Henry looking up and the sisters hanging out together (all fighting to stand in position that allowed their 'best side' to be shown.) ; )
