DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Jesus Loves Us!

We were all feeling a little ho-hum last week. It was just one of those days. And because of our less-than-peppy feelings on that day, I prayed for something, anything, to cause reason for some joy and happiness.

My prayer was answered, and a bundle of joy came right to our front door!

We opened the door, and there were a bunch of treats, toys, and beautiful blankets… along with the message that Jesus Loves Us, left anonymously.  This was not a visiting teaching drop-off, or Relief Society effort from my own church -- I have no idea who it was, and they were not from my own religion, based on the religious symbols, and booklets, that were with the package.

But it was someone who knew about our family, because there was 4 of everything for each child, and a blanket for each of them, too. There was a message that they were praying for our family.

I just cannot tell you how things like this lift the spirits in our home -- it was like Christmas! My heart rejoiced at answered prayers! I especially loved that it was answered by someone from another faith. The Bible message of Jesus' love for us was well-received in our home! We all rejoiced that our fellow-followers of Christ were thinking of us!

They left bags of goodies…
  And blankets…

I love that the kids can wrap themselves up in Jesus' love!

And some uplifting messages…

I am so grateful for such a timely and thoughtful gift from whoever it was! There has been so much kindness extended to our family -- I will never be able to thank each person individually for the gifts and treasures that have been showered upon us. But my heart is so grateful. Even though I do not know who left such a kind gift, God knows -- and I pray they will be blessed for their sweet kindness to my family!

I pray that everyone who has done something kind for us will be Heaven blessed!

Someone asked me the other day if there is anything that they could do for our family, and I said, "Yes!" We will always take food offerings. We love food. Food is good! That same person dropped-off a bunch of super-yummy goodies for us just today! Food from other people just tastes better, somehow. Thank you, thank you!

Truly, every gift given to us has been such a blessing. (I will write another post about that soon.)

Prayers are answered.

Jesus loves us, everyone of us!

  1. So many wonderful people out there. If any of these "anonymous" donors are reading this, there is a mother/grandma in Alaska who is more grateful than you could possibly know for the kindness and love you have extended to our family. May God bless and keep you. (And I am writing this while smiling ear to ear with tears in my eyes.)
