DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Basketball

Daniel is playing basketball at school. He loves it. He has been stepping up his game this year, and is much more into it and excited about it. He just loves to play, it is good for him. I never pressure the kids with sports -- they have only ever played school sports, but I do love it when they play, and I love to watch them grow and develop their skills.

My favorite moment from the game today was when he saved me from getting hit in the face. My friend and I were sitting under the basketball hoop, and the ball was coming straight at us, and before I could grab it Daniel flew in out of nowhere and rescued us. It was awesome. It felt like that Man of Steele movie moment when Superman said, "You think you can threaten my mother?"

I told him it was the highlight of my day, and it was. Daniel is super. I am so glad he is there to protect me. I sure love you, Dan the Man!
