DISCLAIMER

This blog is where I record a limited depiction of my feelings, family, and faith. My blog was recently under intense scrutiny, and so I feel this disclaimer is necessary. I try to tell my story as openly as I can, but this blog represents a cropped and narrow-viewed version of my story -- like all social media -- it is NOT the full story. Many events happen behind the scenes that are not recorded or written about, due to the sensitive nature of others involved. Life has many layers. Many layers can be shared and many cannot, and this blog is simply a layer of my life that I allow others to view, but it is not an accurate depiction of all the layers of my life.

Capturing the Glory of Morning

It was a foggy morning. As soon as I opened the window and saw the fog, I jumped in the car and went out to capture some pictures. I just love fall mornings, and I feel like I had better soak them all in before they turn to ice!

As I drove around in the car a bunch of love songs came on the radio -- very profound, meaningful, love songs. It was like I was allowed a little romantic moment with Charles, all by myself. I would have missed it had I not made the effort to go out and capture the morning. (It was 8:00 on a Saturday, I could have stayed in bed.) As I took in the morning and music my whole body was full of love and longing -- in a beautiful way. Music plus the magic of fall is very romantic... and there is something about driving alone that can be soothing, too. Though I did not feel alone this morning.

It was a beautiful morning. I am glad I did not stay in bed and miss it.

Funny thing though, my favorite pictures from the morning were ones I took in my own yard. The droplets on the web, and the rose. There is beauty all around you if you look close enough...

  5. I'm proud of you for getting up and capturing the beauty around you. I, too love the web and rose pics.

I also love that pic of Charles coming through the front door in your previous post. He always radiated hope in a brighter future. He definitely knew and knows how to arise and shine.

Good for you for arising instead of sleeping in. I'm sure you came back feeling more shiny.

    I love you!

  6. You are beautiful. You shine bright. Your words inspire. Your faith and testimony are strong. You truly are celestial to so many of us. Our prayers continue to be with you and your kids. Thank you for being a living testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and of his love and of his plan. He truly is what keeps each of us going each day. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. If you know it, then live it! And that's what you do Mari! I'm grateful to be teammates. The workouts are hard, but oh so worth it. Thanks for being true! Love, Tessa
